Learn to teach Yoga with me, and friends!

Charlotte, NC

The Adventure Begins June 14th, 2024

The world needs more people connected to their heart's purpose, this training could be the thread that leads you there.

Elemental Moon Yoga School was planted in the heart of Grace Millsap in the summer of 2019, as she sat under her favorite tree in the neighborhood park.  It began with a desire to create something counter to the current culture of yoga. A school that embraces traditions while also uplifting accessibility, inclusion, and equality.

2024 Special Guest Teachers

GraceFlowerField-026.jpg

The teaching style presented in this YTT is weaving of 3 systems of study: Yoga (as described by Patanjali and other texts), Ayurveda (our elemental nature), and Tantra (tools that allow us to live our lives more skillfully). There is no on-size-fits-all Yoga practice. This training will give you the tools to discern how to best meet your students where they are.

Grace Millsap, Lead Teacher

What past YTT students are saying...

Grace is a truly special soul. As a teacher, she goes way deeper than the physical poses of yoga. She utilizes anatomy, psychology, and energy to create intuitive movements that you didn’t even know you needed. Grace’s teacher training provided me with so many tools not only to become an amazing yoga teacher, but also to find a more profound understanding of my own practice. She also takes time to honor the histories and cultures of yoga, and addresses the responsibilities of being a teacher. Regardless of whether you’re interested in teaching vinyasa, deep stretch, meditation, or nothing at all, you’ll leave grace’s training with many new ways to contribute to the world.

This was absolutely life-changing for me! Not only is Grace an incredible person but is so supportive and self-aware regarding the history of yoga. I gained valuable teaching skills and life-long connections, but even more than that, I really had a chance to connect with my spiritualism and find out what that means for me. I would recommend this course to anyone even slightly interested in learning more about yoga.

This Yoga Teacher Training completely exceeded my expectations, and it is not an exaggeration to say it change my life. I am beyond impressed with the amount of time, thought, and heart that went into carefully planning each element of the program. I learned so much for use both on and off the mat, and am excited and inspired to keep on learning...plus I got to spend the summer with some of the coolest, kindest people I know. I wish I had done this years ago.

The 200hr YTT training through Elemental Moon Yoga School is top notch. Grace told the first weekend that the Kula would be and create magic, she was right ….but Grace fosters the magic!! The teachers who I lessened from were all phenomenal. The topics covered were comprehensive. If you’re drawn to this training - take the plunge!

This was a wonderful program! I feel like I could walk into a class and easily sequence a safe and inclusive yoga practice.

Grace's teaching style is infectious, informed, and passionate! The training offered is a well rounded diverse teacher training with plenty of opportunity for student participation and discussion. I loved that we had multiple sessions on diversity, inclusion, and allyship in the Yoga space. Highly recommended!

Thank you, Grace, for being there when and where I needed you. Elemental Moon YTT has allowed me to view my life through a completely different lens. I am excited about the endless possibilities discovered through this program.

This program will help you begin to integrate the true components of yoga into your life. It’s not just about the physical practice but all the other things surrounding being the best version of yourself. Grace is so knowledgeable and willing to break down anything and discuss/workshop. She is such an amazing teacher and learning from this lineage has been one of my biggest accomplishments in my life. I loved all 200 hours I spent in this program and am hungry for more!

I stepped into YTT to deepen my own practice and completed wanting to teach and having opportunities come forward as we finished. ... Inclusivity, the moon, the science and the ayruvedics along with Grace's energy had me at the first conversation. Even areas that I wasn't keen on, somehow, I found myself enjoying those aspects too. The depth of the training opened up so much knowledge and many more rabbit holes for me to explore. IT was fun. Our KULA - I feel so much LOVE when I say that came together supporting, laughing and hugging each other. ... Well worth the time and money investment. I cannot wait for the 300 hour.

I came to the practice of yoga later in life. For over a year now, I have wanted to increase my knowledge of yoga and to deepen my practice. As I have grown stronger and more confident in how an asana is a balance of effort and ease, my practice has become as much mental and spiritual as physical . This teacher training has inspired me to share my yoga journey and my respect for the holistic nature of yoga.

It is my heart’s most sincere desire to make this training as accessible as possible. AND I also honor my guest teachers, and the energy (time, money, emotional) put into their area of expertise, combined with what it takes to present at the level of a teacher training. A Tiered Pricing Model operates from a place of trust, community, equity, and honesty.  I trust you to choose the best price that is appropriate for you.

The current standard price for a 200-hour Yoga teacher training is about $3500 which automatically creates boundaries, and exclusion, for some. A Tiered Pricing Model creates opportunity for those who may not otherwise be able to join, while retaining the value of the training and teachers; thus challenging the industry’s standard and capitalistic norms. This model invites us to take inventory of our personal resources, and examine our personal intersectionality and levels of privilege.

You can pay in one installment or on a payment plan (no fees), we can talk about a plan that feels spacious for you. Please take some time taking these factors into consideration and determine a payment that works for you.

This determination was informed, and inspired, by the works of Alexis J. Cunningfolk of Worts and Cunning, Jasmine Hines of Amplify and Activate, and Michelle C. Johnson of Skill in Action.  This scale is made possible by the kindness of friends at Charlotte Family Yoga Center and Vice Moran.
