Journey to the Heart - A Retreat to Sacred Valley, Peru

March 25th - 31st, 2028

Y’all ready for a magical adventure to the Sacred Valley of Peru?!

Join Grace Millsap and special guests for 7-days of heart centered adventures. You can expect a blend of local excursions, free-time to connect with the beautiful natural surroundings of Sacred Valley, opportunities to participate  in traditional ritual and ceremony, and a wide range of Yoga classes. Practices will be curated with the purpose of (re)connection to one's heart with consideration of multiple styles, lineages, and activity level of both teachers and travelers.

Our home away from home: Samadhi Sacred Valley!

Lovingly curated and stewarded by Fernando and family, in the middle of a natural environment, surrounded by mountains and sustained culture that today maintain their traditions, grows Samadhi. Designed with the sacred geometry, Samadhi will submerge you in the universe of the las Chakras, walking through the Kundalini and wrapping you in its spaces, colors, textures, flavors and art adapted for the energy central, to know and explore your essence.

THE MAIN HOUSE

The first floor features a full living room, reading den, library, dining room and a full open kitchen. Second floor is a second living room and a glass painting room overlooking the Sacred Valley Mountains. Third floor is the jaw dropping view, and somehow even better in person,  yoga deck aka the Sun Shala, with a full mountain view and larger than life glass windows.

Located outside (and down the hill)  is a large fire pit for bonfires, a second practice space aka the Moon Shala, pool and massage space, and a garden that harvests the food we eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

About Cusco:

Cuzco, also spelled Cusco or Kosko, Quechua Qosqo, is a city and Inca region,  in south-central Peru. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the Western Hemisphere. Formerly the capital of the extensive Inca empire, it retains much of its highly crafted early stone architecture, which is typically preserved in the foundations and lower stories of Spanish colonial structures. Cuzco was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1983. The city stands high in the Andes at an average elevation of 11,150 feet.

We will travel about 90 minutes away from Cusco to The Sacred Valley, which is closer to 9,000 feet elevation to spend our week in sacred community.

Fly into Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport in Cusco. Schedule a flight that arrives the morning of March 25th, 2028 anytime before 10:30am, or a day (or 2) prior if you wish to stay a day in Cusco to acclimate. If you choose to fly back home directly after the retreat, you’ll schedule a departure flight any time after 3:00pm on March 31st 2028.

(see options below for extending your adventure)

*Highly-highly recommend arriving 1-2  days early to acclimate (weather can be wonky and airlines do what they want and the air there is thin) + staying 1-2 extra days IF you do Machu Picchu to recover (learned this the hard way)

Samadhi-24.jpg

A Typical Day on Retreat:

We will rise and shine like the sun with options for coffee/tea. Our morning practice will be more of a vinyasa style, with connections to deeper themes of contemplation. breakfast completes our morning with free time afterwards to wander the grounds or simply rest. Some days, we may adventure to the local market, or sacred sites. But always back in time for lunch and free-time in the afternoon.

Our afternoon practice is of more restorative nature, followed by group dinner. Some nights are free for personal reflections, and others we have rituals and/or community gatherings planned.

Everything is always optional, you are always free to participate or take time to wander solo.

We have immense love and reverence for the stewards of these practices, and lands and acknowledge the subcontinent of India for the codification of Yoga, and the Inca tribes for protecting the land of Cusco. Magic happens by saying YES to yourself, and allowing yourself to be present to what is happening around you. Peru makes it easy to Drop Out, and Tune In. Drop out of your normal life, and tune in to yourself and your inner sparkle."

WHAT FOLKS SAY:

This yoga retreat was so special and magical... The thoughtfulness showed through the diversity of teachings, knowledge shared and their respect and love for all living things. ... I am so grateful for this experience, to take a pause , to laugh, to cry, to be, to connect with other beautiful souls on their own spiritual evolution and gain a deeper connection with myself. Thank you and much love!

Retreat to Costa Rica was an amazing experience that really lifted me up & gave me space to breathe, practice self-care, and relax and/or be social with some great new friends. I am so grateful to have been able to attend & will definitely do it again! I loved being in paradise!

Truly amazing time. I found a grounding and a re-centering of my soul and consciousness. The workshop helped me grow as a person and feel more confident about who I am and how I live my life. Living from the heart can be scary, but also deeply rewarding.

Truly an amazing time. I found a grounding and a re-centering of my soul and consciousness. The workshop helped me grow as a person and feel more confident about who I am and how I live my life. Living from the heart can be scary, but also deeply rewarding.

The retreat was named Love, Yoga, Magic; and there was no shortage of any of those. From start to finish (and beyond) it was truly MAGIC.

The amount of love and planning that went into this retreat was so obvious. i appreciated all of the different forms of yoga we practiced, as well as gaining an understanding of the local culture. I swam in a waterfall, did yoga on the beach as the sun rose, pet some local puppies, rode horses as the sun set and I made friends that i hope to have for a lifetime. The past few years have been hard for almost all of the world, and what a gift to find some healing surrounded by such beauty and love.

I am so grateful for this experience, to take a pause , to laugh, to cry, to be, to connect with other beautiful souls on their own spiritual evolution and gain a deeper connection with myself. Thank you and much love!"

"The retreat was one of the best weeks of my life!!! I think the fact that I got my physical, spiritual and mental health needs all met at once in fascinating and effective ways was just so far beyond anything I could’ve expected or asked for. To say I feel “fully recharged” wouldn’t capture it. I feel energetically charged and deeply inspired far past where I was before. I also completely trusted everyone in the group and really benefited from having open-hearted conversations which absolutely heightened my experience. Thank you forever, Grace!"

"Thank you Grace for bringing me on this adventure with you! The experience were beautifully crafted and I have gained friends for life. The retreat was healing for me and I am going back home recalibrated and ready to share my love with the world."

"Truly amazing time. I found a grounding and a re-centering of my soul and consciousness. The workshop helped me grow as a person and feel more confident about who I am and how I live my life. Living from the heart can be scary, but also deeply rewarding."

"Every detail of the trip was handled gracefully from the moment we landed at the airport to our departure. It was so nice to be able to come on vacation without having to plan out much of anything. You could tell they put a lot of hard work and consideration into planning this trip & I feel so grateful to have been a part of it."

"The amount of love and planning that went into this retreat was so obvious. i appreciated all of the different forms of yoga we practiced, as well as gaining an understanding of the local culture. I swam in a waterfall, did yoga on the beach as the sun rose, pet some local puppies, rode horses as the sun set and I made friends that i hope to have for a lifetime. The past few years have been hard for almost all of the world, and what a gift to find some healing surrounded by such beauty and love."

My experience was life changing because I opened my heart to the Sacred Valley and because of the care, for-thought, and leadership of Grace, whom brought together a group of kindred spirits.  Each yoga practice was intentional and accessible. The excursions chosen perfect, the food delightful, and the memories are just absolutely priceless.

"She found a great resort in a beautiful location. Travel to and from the resort was taken care of. They were quick to respond to my emails leading up to the trip. The accommodations were very comfortable, and I felt connected to nature while we were there. The food was fantastic. Twice daily yoga classes in a variety of styles, and they imparted a lot of intention and themes into our practice. The experience was healing. Fantastic job of balancing activities with free time, and there were several fun activities / excursions. Overall the trip was great - checked all the boxes!"

This was “Summer Camp 2025” at Selva Armonia: a week steeped in beauty, connection, and the lush backdrop of the Costa Rican jungle. As a 250-pound aspiring bodybuilder with the flexibility of a steel beam, yoga is… well, a challenge. Yet I never once felt out of place. The community Grace has cultivated is one of warmth and welcome—where encouragement replaces judgment, and everyone feels seen. Great people, great vibes!

There’s not a single thing I’d change about my first yoga retreat. Grace curated a perfect week of unforgettable excursions (whale watching was definitely a highlight), varied yoga practices, plenty of downtime, and just as much playtime. This week in the Costa Rican jungle was the purest embodiment of Pura Vida.

Visiting Samadhi Yoga Retreat with Grace and Ali was life changing. We explored The Sacred Valley of Peru, felt the energy of Pacchu Mama and all the people that came before us, and made deep connections with ourselves and others. I would recommend this trip to anyone, including those who are not avid Yogis. We made friendships that will last and explored beautiful, historic places. 10 out of 10.

My experience at the Journey to the Heart retreat with Grace and Ali was truly transformative. From the moment we arrived in Peru, everything felt intentional, grounding, and deeply restorative. The schedule struck the perfect balance between structured practice and time to simply be—whether that meant soaking in the beauty of the Sacred Valley, reflecting, or connecting with others. What I didn’t expect—but am so grateful for—were the connections I made. Being surrounded by such thoughtful, open, and genuinely kind people added another layer of magic to the entire week. It felt easy to unplug, slow down, and just be present. This retreat came at a time when I was feeling overwhelmed by work and life, and it brought me a sense of joy, clarity, and peace that I truly needed. I left feeling lighter, recharged, and more connected to myself. I can’t recommend this experience with Grace and Ali enough—it was something I’ll carry with me for a long time.
